Should I wash my fabrics prior to sewing them?

A: It depends on which fabrics you are ordering. You do not need to wash PUL before sewing it, in fact it could damage woven PUL to do this. Fleece fabrics do not need to be washed either. Hemp fabrics have been prewashed once by my supplier, but it will not hurt at all to wash them again before sewing just to make sure they are properly shrunk since they have a high cotton content. Remember also that hemp must be washed several times in hot water before it reaches its maximum absorbency. Any cotton fabrics such as flannel or cotton french terry does need to be prewashed to shrink it.

How are your shipping costs calculated?

A: Shipping is based on the actual weight of the fabrics you order. If you order very light items, your shipping options will have less expensive options, such as first class shipping. Of course faster shipping options are always available, you get to choose your preference at checkout.
